 The start of the euros was very interesting with Inter Milan star having a cardiac arrest during a game for Denmark, later he said to continue the match but his team then lost 1-0 to Finland in Finland's first-ever major competition. With Lukaku's brace for Belgium, they lead their group winning three-nil against Russia. England got redemption against Croatia after 2018's semi-final loss and on the last matchday, Germany lost against France 1-0 with Portugal taking the lead in that group thanks to a 3-0 win against Hungary with two goals by Ronaldo to help him become the top ever scorer in the Euros.

       By many people, Ronaldo is considered one of the best players ever. He has won the Ballon d'Or 5 times, second only to Leonel Messi who has won 6 times. He started his career at Sporting CP in his home country of Portugal, before moving to Manchester United at the age of 18. After winning the FA Cup in his first season, he helped United win three successive Premier League titles, the UEFA Champions League, and the FIFA Club World Cup. He was given David Beckhams old number 7 jersey there. Then in 2009, he made a transfer that would change his entire career.      He joined Real Madrid for 94 Million dollars. He then went on to win 15 trophies, including two La Liga titles, two Copas del Rey, and four UEFA Champions League titles and became the club's all-time top goalscorer. After joining Madrid, Ronaldo finished runner-up for the Ballon d'Or three times, behind Lionel Messi – his perceived career rival – before winning back-to-back Ballons d'Or from 2013–2014 a

 This past weekend was jam-packed with excitement, especially Wembley where Brentford beat Swansea to promote to the Premier League next season along with Watford and Norwich. The 2020/21 Champions final is over, leaving Chelsea as surprise winners thanks to one goal by Kai Havertz. The goal was thanks to a superb pass by Mason Mount and Kai Havertz then dribbled around Ederson, three minutes before halftime. Thiago Silva for Chelsea and Kevin de Bruyne for Manchester City had to come off due to injury. Manchester City kept pressuring but thanks to some superb defending by Chelsea, they held on to become champions for only the second time in their history! They lifted the trophy in Lisbon, Portugal.

 The Europa League 2021 finished with a twist as Villareal, in their first-ever European final, defeated favorites Manchester United in a highly entertaining and tight final. Moreno started by scoring for Villareal in the 29th minute with a toe-poke and they then held on until halftime. But Cavani then equalized in the 55th minute with a close-range shot. The game went back and forth until the 90th minute with nobody finding the back of the net. They then went to extra-time and still the scores were tied after 120 minutes of play. So things then went to penalties. All five of the first shots of each team were scored to bring it to sudden-death penalties. All the players scored until all the players had gone except for the goalkeepers. Rulli, the Villareal goalkeeper, beat de Gea, who then saw Rulli save his penalty.  To end the season off City thrashed Everton 5-0 and Aguero got a brace in his final game for them, Tottenham beat Leicester 4-2 and Harry Kane scored a goal to make him the first person in the premier to win 3 golden boots + 3 playmaker awards and in result, he’s got City, United, and London rivals Chelsea all wanting to purchase him this summer. In London Aston Villa continues their win streak as they beat Chelsea 2-1, West Ham finishes off the season in sixth which if Man U wins Europa means they’ll get into Champions League. Fulham, West Brom, and Sheffield end at the bottom which results in relegation as a lack of strong attackers. Man U comes from behind to beat Wolves 2-1 as a pre-Europa league final game.  Match week 37 was an amazing two days of high intensity fast paced footy where Aston Villa beat Tottenham Hotspurs 2-1 (I bet Prince William was happy) and Liverpool thrashed Burnley 3-0 meanwhile in London Chelsea got revenge against the Foxes after last week's FA cup final loss. Brighton who were in 17th place come back against league winners Manchester City which send Brighton ahead of Burnley into 16th.  Matchday 36 will go down in history as Allison scores the sixth ever goal by a goalie in the premier league, this goal also allowed Liverpool to win 2-1 against  west brom in the 90+5th minute. Tottenham beat Wolves 2-0 and Kane is tied with Salah for the golden boot, meanwhile Leeds destroyed Burnley four to zero. We only have two more match days left, will anything big happen? Chelsea played Leicester at Wembley in the FA Cup final 2020/21. Leicester took the lead against Chelsea thanks to a amazing goal by Tielemans from way out going past Kepa into the top corner. Chelsea then spent the rest of the game trying to battle back the goal which forced Leicester’s goalkeeper to pull off some fabulous saves including a volley by Mount. Then in the last minute Chelsea scored...only to have it disallowed for marginal offside by VAR. So Leicester became FA Cup Champions 

  Today Chelsea played Real Madrid in the second leg of the Champions League semifinals. The aggregate score was 1-1. Chelsea got the first goal with Kai Havertz chipping the ball over Cortois and hitting the crossbar but Timo Werner was there to head it in. After that there was a ton of chances that both teams should have scored in. But the next goal was in the 85th minute with a tap-in by Mason Mount. So the final will be two English teams.   Manchester City came into the game today leading 2-1 with two away goals. They then went one better early on, thanks to a low shot by Riyad Mahrez. PSG then held out until after halftime, when Mahrez got his second with a tap-in. PSG only made it worse when Angel di Maria got a red card for kicking out at Fernandinho City would hold out until the end to cruise by PSG with a comfortable 4-1 of aggregate win.  Who will they play in the final? Leicester started the weekend with a scare going down 1-0 to ten-man Southampton but they came back to tie it 1-1. City then went on to beat Crystal Palace, Chelsea to beat Fulham and Leeds to beat Brighton, all 2-0. In the last game of Saturday, Aston Villa surprised Everton 2-1 . Then Sunday started with Arsenal beating Newcastle 2-0 and then the biggest game of the weekend was about to start, Liverpool vs Manchester United, that could have also crowned Manchester City Champions (had Manchester United lost). It was then postponed due to protests. Spurs Then thrashed Sheffield 4-0 thanks to a hat-trick by Bale. Then on Monday  Wolves tied West Brom and West Ham beat Burnley 2-1 . Come back soon!

 Harry Kane is one of the best strikers in the world. He was awarded the Golden Boot as top goalscorer in the 2018 World Cup and has been top scorer three times in the Premier League. He plays for the London team. So how did he go from a player that was always on loan to other clubs to one of Tottenham's best-ever players and one of the Premier Leagues' best players? Harry Kane joined the Tottenhams senior team in 2009 but then was loaned to Leyton Orient, Millwall, Leicester City, and Norwich City.  In 2014 he started to play for the first team of Tottenham. In his first full season in the Premier League, he was the second top scorer. He was the top scorer in the next two seasons and then the next, they came second in the Champions League. Despite the super league lasting only 48 hours the fans of these "best clubs" are organising protests to get rid of the American owners that wanted to buy into this new league. Some recent protests have happened outside of the Wembley, Old Trafford and Stamford Bridge. Most of these protests have delayed or even postponed games such as the most recent at the Man United - Liverpool game in Manchester where the fans were even on the pitch! The police were seen sitting around though and watching while the United fans rip out corner flags.  The american owners of these rich clubs are also known for owning some other items, like the Arsenal owner who owns the biggest cattle ranch in British Columbia and the Man U owner owns the American Football team Tampa Bay Buccaneers that just won the NFL. So how can we stop these owners? All we have to do is keep fighting and not let these big shots ruin the Soccer World!

Javier Hernandez or better known as Chicharito (little pea) is widely thought of as the best Mexican player in history. He has played for multiple clubs in the past 10 years including Man United, Real Madrid, Bayern Leverkusen, West Ham, Sevilla and finally now LA Galaxy. Some of his most recent feats include leading Mexico to the world cup round of 16 in Russia. In his first two games for LA in the 2021 MLS season he scored 5 goals and hopefully more to come.   Neymar Jr. plays for french club, Paris St. Germain where he transferred from Barcelona to become the worlds largest transfer, at a record fee of $263 million. In 2019 he won the Copa america for Brazil along with teammates for club and country, Marquinhos, Thiago Silva and Dani Alves .    Earlier this year there has been rumours that Neyma r could transfer back to Barcelona to be with fellow star player Lionel Messi , but that quickly was shut down and it now looks like Neymar will be staying as they got one goal away from winning the champions league against german side FC Bayern Munich . So where what will happen next, will anybody beat his record transfer fee or will he retire playing in the MLS.              What we know for sure is that he is among the greats and his skill will inspire more to come.

 Kevin de Bruyne is widely regarded as the best midfielder in the world. De Bruyne started his career at Genk, where they won the Belgian Pro League in 2010/11. He then moved to Chelsea and immediately loaned to Werder Bremen. He then signed to Wolfsburg in Germany in 2014 with whom he won the 2014/15 DFB Pokal. Then, in the summer of 2015, he made the transfer that would make him the world-renowned midfielder of today... Kevin de Bruyne He joined Manchester City for £ 54 Million ! He then went on to win two Premier Leagues, one FA Cup, and four Carabao Cups. In 2018 he was crucial in Belgium's third-place finish. He is now vice-captain of Manchester City and he is quoted saying: " I always like to  assist more than scoring : it gives me another feeling; I cannot explain it."

 Zlatan Ibrahimović is widely known across the football world as one of the best players in history and he likes to call himself a god and immortal and even donates gold statues to towns- of himself! Zlatan Ibrahimović He has played for tons of clubs, he began his career at Malmö FF in 1999, and signed for Ajax two years later. At Ajax, Ibrahimović gained a reputation as one of the most promising forwards in Europe, and departed two years later to sign for Juventus. He excelled in Serie A in a strike partnership with David Trezeguet, before joining domestic rivals Inter Milan in 2006, where he won the Capocannoniere (Serie A top scorer) in 2008–09 and won three consecutive Serie A titles. Today, in Paris, the first leg of the semifinal between Manchester City and PSG was played. It started early on either the home team, PSG, scoring off of a corner. PSG’s lead held out all the way to the beginning of the second half where de Bruyne almost scored a Overhead Kick, which ended up going over. But he had a chance to redeem himself a couple minutes later with a wonderful accidental goal tha was supposed to be a cross and then spun in. City then went one better around ten minutes later through a Riyad Mahrez free-kick. To make things worse for PSG They then got a red card. So Manchester City got a crucial away win.  Trent Alexander-Arnold is a homegrown player for Liverpool FC, he started in the academy and was brought up to the starting team by coach Jurgen Klopp. Since the arrival he started playing for the national team (England) and even played in the FIFA world cup where they made it to the semi finals. When Trent was 6 years of age his local team Liverpool won the champions league (2005) and their team bus came down the street during the celebration he was sure he would be there someday... ... And in the 2019 champions league he made that dream come true and even got an assist in the 3rd last minute. The year after he won the first premier league title for Liverpool in 30 years. This season he has captained Liverpool for the first time against FC Mydtjylland but sadly was left out of the English national team in March. Today was the first of the Two Champions League 2020/21 semifinals Leg 1  between Chelsea and Real Madrid. It was the away leg for Chelsea, played in Madrid, but still, Chelsea was first to score, in the fourteenth minute, thanks to Cristian Pulisic running around Madrid’s Keeper to score. Fifteen minutes later Karim Benzema equalized off of a powerful volley. The final score was 1-1 with Chelsea getting a crucial away goal.  The weekend had an exciting start with Everton beating Arsenal thanks to a own goal by goalkeeper Leno. The excitement continued to Saturday with Liverpool drawing Newcastle and Chelsea conquering EST Ham 1-0 thanks to a goal by Timo Werner, to go into fourth place.  Alphonso Davies came from a refugee camp in Ghana to being the best player in Canadian history. He started his professional career for the Vancouver Whitecaps where after 3 years of domination got signed by team Bayern Munich.   Since his arrival at Bayern he has won 3 league titles, a champions league and is the current club World Cup champs. At the moment he is only 19 years of age, will he strike again. He is also the first Canadian footballer to become an United Nations ambassador.

 Well folks, we’re Safe from the Super League as all six English clubs who were backing this project pulled out their support. Manchester City and Chelsea were the first two to do so.  Both Arsenal, Liverpool and Chelsea bump up by one point this week while City and Tottenham both advance 3 points winning 2-1 in both their games and United comeback to win 3-1 against Burnley keeping them in second place behind the other Manchester team.

Robert Lewandowski is often referred to as one of the best strikers of the last decade. In 2010, he transferred from Polish top-flight club, Lech Poznań,  to Dortmund who he helped win two consecutive  Bundesliga titles and one top scorer award. Then in 2014, he made a transfer that changed everything... Robert Lewandowski He transferred to Dortmunds rival club, Bayern Munich and progressed to win 6 consecutive Bundesliga titles and in the 2019-20 season Bayern won the treble (League, Cup and Champions League) where Lewandowski was essential to their success winning top scorer in all three competitions. He is also captain of the Polish national team where he is Poland's all time scorer with 66 goals. In 2020, Lewandowski won best FIFA men's player and best UEFA men's player. Lewandowski now has over 500 goals for club and country.

 Jesse Lingard made a big decision early on in his career to play with Manchester United and at the time it was a good decision. Man U just won a bunch of prems and a couple champions leagues but then came the fall of glory and United became a team where they buy star youngsters and turn them into bench warmers, another team that now does this is Real Madrid. Recently though he was sent on loan from Manchester to West Ham where he has scored eight goals and three assists. He’s even gotten them into a champions league spot which for West Ham is like winning the World Cup. Sadly Man U will have to take him back and maybe then he could get playing time at United but till then keep watching him dominate with the hammers!

 Kylian Mbappé first showed the world who he was in the 2018 World Cup in Russia where he scored 4 goals one of which was in the final where they beat Croatia 4-2. Immediately after the World Cup he was signed by PSG from Monaco for €180 million which made him the most expensive teenager ever and the 2nd most expensive player ever following teammate Neymar Jr. Since joining one the best teams in the world Mbappé has won ligue 1 thrice and is PSG’s third top scorer in history already. Rumours have said though in the past that he might be interested in leaving the club to go to Liverpool but with the form they’ve been having he’s probably staying under his new manager m Mauricio Pochettino.  How did Erling Haaland rise from being a hat-trick scoring kid for RB Salzburg to being one of the players all teams want? He started being recognised in 2019 when he scored against Liverpool in the group stage of the champions league, others from the team also got recognised including Minamino who went to Liverpool. So why did Erling Haaland transfer to Dortmund and not somewhere in England where his dad played professionally. He probably wasn't thinking everybody wanted him at the time and took the first big offer he could. In his first game playing for his new club he scored a hat-trick and made a friendship with teammate Thorgan Hazard.  In 2020 Haaland was awarded The Golden Boy award for best under-21 player. Since then Erling Haaland has made a big impact in the bundesliga and champions league reaching top scorer at the moment and catching the eye of big teams like Machester City and Chelsea.   This week 12  of the most elite teams in Europe have decided to take place in a league that is a complete scam, since Covid-19 hit each team has lost money and to gain it back they have chosen to participate in a scam that will bounce back their revenue and allow them to purchase more expensive players. The only problem is that both FIFA and UEFA have declared that any team participating in this Super League will not be able to play in any of their competitions. The 12 teams participating so far are: Tottenham, Liverpool, Arsenal, Chelsea, Manchester United and City, Barcelona, Real Madrid, Atletico Madrid, both Milans and Juventus. All these teams have chimed in to create this fantastic sounding league but now that they're all gone imagine how boring leagues like the champions league will be being dominated by PSG and Bayern Munich. On Tuesday Bayern best PSG 1-0 but PSG made it through on away goals. In the second Tuesday Match,  Porto also prevailed 1-0 against Chelsea thanks to a spectacular bicycle kick but Chelsea advanced because they won the first leg 2-0. The next day Manchester City beat  Dortmund 2-1 thanks to a smashing goal by Phil Foden. So City also advanced to the semifinals and  in the final quarterfinal Liverpool tied Real Madrid 0-0 and Real Madrid go through thanks to their 3-1 first leg victory. So in the semifinals Manchester City will be playing PSG and Chelsea will be playing Real Madrid for the two Champions League final spots! The first leg is on the 27th and 28th of April. What a weekend! Full of surprises , as in Leeds beating Man. City 2-1 (How??), comebacks ( Manchester United coming back at spurs to win 3-1 and finally destructions , Chelsea smashing Crystal Palace 4-1. Also exiting news for West Ham and Chelsea Leicester are now within reach for next Matchday!
